Child Safety Standards

MURAT DUMAN ("we", "us") has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking and any other sexualization or exploitation of minors. These standards describe how we prevent, detect, report and respond to such conduct on Basketball AI: Odds & Analysis.

1. Who can use the Service

Basketball AI: Odds & Analysis is for adults aged 21 and over. People under 13 are strictly prohibited. During sign-up, users enter their birth month and year and confirm that they are at least 21, and we store only the birth year, the confirmation time and its source. Where available, we will also use age signals from Apple and Google to identify users who are under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 21, we may close it and delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy. Our Terms of Use prohibit any content that involves minors in a sexual or exploitative way, and any attempt to contact, groom or solicit minors.

2. What the Service looks like from a safety standpoint

  • No photo or video sharing. The Service has no photo, video or file sharing in posts, comments or messages. The only image a user can upload is a profile picture, and uploading a photo is limited to paid subscribers (other users choose from preset avatars).
  • Short text only. Posts are limited to 140 characters. Links, contact details and handles for other platforms are blocked.
  • Direct messages are planned and not yet available. When they launch, they will be text-only. There will be no media in direct messages. Messages can be blocked and reported.
  • Age gate and eligibility. See Section 1.

3. How to report

Anyone can report concerns about child safety:

  • In the app: tap the "⋯" menu on any post, comment, pick, profile (including a profile picture) or message and choose Report. Choose the "child safety" category for anything that sexualizes or endangers a minor, or the "under 18" category if a user appears to be under age. You can block the user at the same time.
  • By email: write to our child-safety contact at the address below. You do not need an account.
  • For intimate images shared without consent: use Intimate Image Takedown Requests.

Child-safety contact: MURAT DUMAN, dumanmuraat@gmail.com

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. You can also report online child exploitation directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or by calling 1-800-843-5678. [COUNSEL TO CONFIRM: NCMEC contact details before publication.]

4. How we respond

  • Review target. We aim to review every report within 24 hours. Reports in the child-safety category are flagged to our staff immediately and are reviewed first.
  • Immediate protective action. A single report in the child-safety or sexual-content category about a profile picture hides the picture immediately while we review it. Where we think a picture may be CSAM, we move the file out of public storage into restricted storage without making copies, and the account is banned.
  • Immediate ban. We ban accounts immediately, without earlier warnings or suspensions, for CSAM and child exploitation. We may take steps to prevent banned users from creating new accounts.
  • Restricted handling. Only specifically authorized staff handle suspected CSAM. We do not copy, download, forward or share the material beyond what is necessary to preserve it and report it.
  • No notice to the user. We do not tell the account holder that a report has been made to the authorities where this could compromise an investigation or the safety of a child.

5. Reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement

When we have actual knowledge of apparent child sexual abuse material or related child exploitation on the Service, we report it to the NCMEC CyberTipline as soon as reasonably possible, as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. We cooperate with law enforcement investigations and respond to valid legal process. See our Law Enforcement Guidelines.

Preservation. In line with the REPORT Act, we preserve the reported content and related account information for one year after submitting a report to NCMEC, under restricted access and appropriate security. A request to delete an account or content does not override this preservation. [COUNSEL TO CONFIRM: statutory preservation period and security requirements.]

6. Prevention and design

  • Zero-tolerance rules in the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
  • Automated filters that block links, contact details and other prohibited content before publication.
  • Fast reporting tools and the ability to block users.
  • Strict handling of avatars: each new avatar upload alerts our moderation team, and we review recent uploads.
  • Moderator and staff training on recognizing and handling child-safety reports.
  • Regular review of these standards.

7. Compliance

We comply with applicable child-safety laws and with the policies of the app stores on which we distribute the app, including the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy. We review these standards regularly and update them when laws or our practices change. [COUNSEL TO CONFIRM: list of applicable laws to name in this section.]
